Frequently Asked Questions

Can I check FASTag balance without the registered mobile?

Limited options. Visit your bank branch with vehicle RC and ID proof. Some banks offer IVR balance check via landline.

Why is my FASTag balance showing negative?

Negative balance means a toll was deducted when balance was zero. Recharge immediately to restore active status.

How often is FASTag balance updated?

Balance updates in real-time after each toll transaction or recharge. App refresh may take 1–5 minutes.

What is minimum FASTag balance to keep?

NHAI recommends keeping at least ₹200–₹300 above your most frequent toll fare to avoid blacklisting.
