Open Paytm / PhonePe / GPay

Open any UPI payment app. Go to 'Recharge & Pay Bills' or 'Utilities' section.

Search for 'FASTag' in the search bar or find it under Transport / Utility bills section.

Enter Vehicle Registration Number

Type your vehicle number exactly as per your RC (e.g., MH12AB1234). The app will auto-detect your issuer bank.

Confirm the vehicle owner name and issuer bank shown on screen before proceeding.

Enter recharge amount (₹100 minimum), tap Pay, authenticate with UPI PIN, and done. Balance updates instantly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can someone else recharge my FASTag using my vehicle number?

Yes. Any person with your vehicle number and a UPI app can recharge your FASTag. This is by design and convenient for fleet operators.

What if my vehicle number is not found?

Ensure the FASTag is active and KYC is complete. New FASTags may take 24 hours to appear in the NETC network.

Is recharge via vehicle number safe?

Yes. Only the wallet is recharged — no bank account, password, or sensitive data is accessed. Transactions are secured by UPI.

Can I recharge FASTag for a different vehicle using my UPI?
